Harrisburg, PA, November 5, 2007 - On-Q/Legrand, the leader in home systems, announced today that it will be previewing
its new 7” LCD console, designed to provide homeowners with added convenience
and integration capabilities, at this year’s Electronic House Expo. The
new and improved LCD console provides high quality at an affordable price and
will be available for shipment in 2008.
On-Q’s new LCD console provides homeowners’ added comfort with
its large 7” screen and cutting edge video and audio options. The
screen, nearly 200 percent larger than On-Q’s previous LCD console, provides
wide-angle viewing and can accommodate up to four audio/video feeds. The
customizable composite video inputs allow homeowners the ability to connect
to devices such as an integrated camera system by simply connecting to one
of the four A/V feeds. On-Q’s LCD console also offers homeowners
high-quality audio with dual front speakers that can be controlled by an On-Q
central infrared remote.
“On-Q’s 7” LCD console offers our customers improved aesthetics,
enhanced functionality, an easy to use interface and ultimate flexibility at
a marginally higher price point,” stated Tom Cunningham, On-Q/Legrand
Product Manager. “This innovative product is revolutionizing the home
systems category through its design, allowing for future integration of On-Q
products and solutions.”
Aesthetically pleasing, On-Q’s new LCD console is contemporary in design
with a Titanium back plate and colored bezels in while, light almond or gloss
black. Its low profile look and feel will blend with any wall environment
and its intuitive layout makes functionality simple and efficient.
The new LCD console can also be installed with ease. The LCD mounts
in a standard 3 gang box and its innovative back plate assures the LCD can
be leveled. Furthermore, the LCD console recognizes the available video
inputs on power-up and a single Cat 5e supports audio, video and power.
Additional LCD console features include:
- Backlit buttons in soft colors that are easily discernable
- IR control via the On-Q remote
- Independent adjustments for each video input
- Independent volume/mute settings for each input
- User preferences stored in a non-volatile memory
- Programmable energy saver feature extends LCD life
In conjunction with the release of the new 7” LCD System, On-Q/Legrand
will also preview its reinvented Cat 5 Camera System. The system is an
easy to install camera solution with flexible display options. It features
high-performance Sony CCD sensors and supports four cameras that operate over
Cat 5e cables and share power, video and audio.
The LCD console will be available through On-Q distributors in 2008.
